NeuroMax

NeuroMax was a French biotechnology company focused on the discovery and development of neuroprotective small molecules for the treatment of neurodegenerative and neuromuscular diseases. Founded as a spin-off from the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM), the company utilized its proprietary NeuroScreen platform to identify compounds that could prevent neuronal death. Its primary focus areas included Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). In 2005, NeuroMax was acquired by Trophos, another French biotech, which integrated NeuroMax's technology and pipeline into its own CNS-focused portfolio. Trophos was subsequently acquired by Roche in 2015.
