Neurome

Neurome, Inc. was a biotechnology company specializing in quantitative neuroanatomy and neuroinformatics, providing high-resolution digital brain mapping services to the pharmaceutical industry. Founded in 2000 by prominent neuroscientists from UCLA, the company developed a proprietary platform for three-dimensional digital reconstruction and analysis of brain tissue. This technology enabled researchers to visualize and quantify the structural effects of experimental drugs and disease progression in animal models with unprecedented precision. Neurome was acquired by Elan Corporation in 2001 to bolster Elan's research and development efforts in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
