New England Quality Care Alliance

New England Quality Care Alliance (NEQCA) was a high-performing network of approximately 1,800 community and academic physicians affiliated with Tufts Medical Center. The organization functioned as a Physician Hospital Organization (PHO), providing its members with the infrastructure and support necessary to excel in value-based care and population health management. NEQCA focused on clinical integration, quality improvement, and the negotiation of risk-based contracts with major health insurers across Massachusetts. In 2022, the alliance was officially integrated into the Tufts Medicine Integrated Network as part of a system-wide consolidation and rebranding effort by its parent organization. Throughout its history, NEQCA was recognized for helping independent practices maintain autonomy while benefiting from the scale of a large integrated delivery system.
