New European Surgical Academy

The New European Surgical Academy (NESA) is an international, interdisciplinary surgical organization founded in 2004 and headquartered in Berlin, Germany. Under the leadership of President Michael Stark, the academy focuses on re-evaluating and optimizing surgical procedures across disciplines such as gynecology, obstetrics, urology, and oncology. NESA is renowned for its work in minimally invasive surgery, specifically Natural Orifice Surgery (NOS) and the Misgav Ladach method for Caesarean sections. The organization facilitates global knowledge transfer, particularly to resource-limited regions, and manages innovative research initiatives like the VIEZION project, which integrates oncology treatments with regenerative medicine. NESA also organizes the annual NESA Days conference to promote interdisciplinary surgical innovation.
