NHS Academic Health Science Networks

The Health Innovation Network, formerly known as the Academic Health Science Networks (AHSNs), is a national federation of 15 regional entities across England commissioned by NHS England and the Office for Life Sciences. The network serves as a catalyst for the spread of innovation at pace and scale, bridging the gap between the NHS, academia, and industry. Their work focuses on identifying and implementing proven solutions to improve patient outcomes, reduce healthcare costs, and stimulate economic growth. They provide a range of services including innovation scouting, real-world evidence generation, and support for the adoption of medical technologies and digital health tools. By operating at both a local and national level, they ensure that healthcare innovations are effectively integrated into clinical practice across the United Kingdom.
