The Nidus Center for Scientific Enterprise was a premier life science business incubator located in St. Louis, Missouri, dedicated to fostering early-stage technology companies. Founded in 1999 with a $10 million grant from Monsanto, the center provided specialized wet-lab facilities, business development resources, and strategic mentoring to startups in biotechnology and plant science. It played a pivotal role in establishing the St. Louis 'BioBelt' as a global hub for agricultural and life science innovation. Over its thirteen-year history, Nidus supported over 25 companies, many of which successfully graduated and secured significant venture capital.
