Nihon Schering

Nihon Schering was the Japanese subsidiary of the German pharmaceutical giant Schering AG, specializing in fertility control, hormone therapy, diagnostic imaging, and specialized therapeutics. The company was a leader in the Japanese market for oral contraceptives and contrast media used in radiology. Following the global acquisition of Schering AG by Bayer in 2006, Nihon Schering was integrated into Bayer Yakuhin, Bayer's Japanese pharmaceutical arm. Its legacy continues through various products in women's healthcare and oncology now managed by Bayer.
