NiiS

The Nordic Institute for Interoperability Solutions (NIIS) is a non-profit association established by the governments of Estonia and Finland to develop and maintain cross-border digital government infrastructure. Its primary product is X-Road, an open-source software and ecosystem solution that provides unified and secure data exchange between organizations, which is extensively used in the healthcare sector for electronic health records (EHR) and prescription data sharing.
