Nikon CeLL innovation is a Japan-based contract development and manufacturing organization focused on cell and gene therapies and regenerative medicine. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nikon Corporation and operates one of Japan's larger dedicated CDMO facilities for advanced therapies, offering process development, technology transfer, assay development, GCTP/GMP manufacturing, quality control, logistics, and regulatory support. Its capabilities span autologous and allogeneic cell products, gene modification, master cell bank production, and large-scale bioreactor-based manufacturing. Nikon CeLL innovation has built notable collaborations with Lonza for cell manufacturing development in Japan, with RoosterBio for mesenchymal stem cell and extracellular vesicle manufacturing solutions, and with Heartseed as a contract manufacturer for the iPSC-derived cardiomyocyte therapy HS-001. The business is service-oriented rather than a developer of a proprietary therapeutic pipeline.
