Nikon Healthcare is the healthcare business unit of Nikon Corporation, not a standalone biotech drug developer. In life sciences, Nikon provides advanced microscopes, super-resolution and deep-tissue imaging systems, image-analysis software, and contract bioimaging services for research, biotech/pharma, and clinical laboratory customers. In eye care, it offers retinal imaging solutions, including products from group company Optos, aimed at earlier detection of eye disease and broader diagnostic use of retinal images. Nikon Healthcare also provides contract development and manufacturing services for cell and gene therapy in Japan, positioning it as a hybrid of life science tools, medical device, and CDMO operations rather than a therapeutics pipeline company.
