NimbusRF

NimbusRF appears to have been a small medical device business focused on radiofrequency ablation technology for interventional pain management rather than a drug-development biotech company. Its flagship product was the Nimbus Electrosurgical Radiofrequency Multitined Expandable Electrode, an FDA-cleared device intended for radiofrequency heat lesion procedures for relief of pain. The business was originally associated with Biomerics in Salt Lake City, Utah, and in January 2020 its assets were acquired by newly formed Stratus Medical to support commercialization and expansion of the Nimbus RF product line. Today, Nimbus is marketed under Stratus Medical rather than as an independent operating company. Because NimbusRF was a device business, most biopharma-specific fields such as molecular targets, therapeutic pipeline, and clinical modalities are not applicable.
