Company intelligence / Profile preview
Nomura Code Securities was a specialist investment banking firm that focused exclusively on the healthcare and life sciences sectors. Formed in 2005 through Nomura's acquisition of the boutique firm Code Securities, the entity provided corporate finance, advisory, and brokerage services to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. The firm was highly regarded for its deep sector expertise and was involved in many of the most significant European life science IPOs and M&A transactions of its era. Nomura eventually integrated the specialist team into its broader investment banking operations and retired the Nomura Code brand in 2012.
