Nordic Synthesis, now operating as WeylChem Karlskoga, is a Swedish contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) specializing in fine chemicals and pharmaceutical intermediates. The company provides custom synthesis services, leveraging advanced chemical processes such as nitration and high-pressure hydrogenation. Originally part of the Nobel industries and later a subsidiary of Cambrex, it was acquired by the International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG) in 2008. Today, it serves the global life sciences and specialty chemicals markets from its cGMP-compliant facility in Karlskoga. The company offers a range of services from process development and pilot-scale production to large-scale commercial manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
