Ukrain is a semi-synthetic alkaloid derivative of the plant Chelidonium majus, which was investigated for its potential to selectively induce apoptosis in cancer cells and modulate the immune system. The company worked closely with the drug's inventor, Dr. Wassil Nowicky, to advance the compound through clinical trials for various solid tumors, including pancreatic and colorectal cancers.
