North General Diagnostic and Treatment Center was an outpatient healthcare facility located in the Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan, New York. As the primary outpatient arm of North General Hospital, it provided essential primary care, diagnostic services, and specialty medical care to a predominantly underserved community. The center played a vital role in the local healthcare ecosystem as part of the only private, non-profit voluntary hospital in Harlem. Following years of financial instability, the center and its parent hospital ceased all operations in 2010. Its closure prompted a significant reorganization of healthcare services in Northern Manhattan, with many functions transitioned to the NYC Health + Hospitals system.
