Northern Way Resources was a Canadian shell company that transitioned into the biotechnology sector in 2005 through a reverse merger with Neuro-Hitech, subsequently operating as Neuro-Hitech Pharmaceuticals. The company's primary focus was the clinical development of Huperzine A, a small molecule acetylcholinesterase inhibitor derived from traditional Chinese medicine, for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. Its lead program reached Phase 2 clinical trials in collaboration with the Alzheimer's Disease Cooperative Study (ADCS). Following clinical setbacks and financial difficulties, the company attempted to pivot into the production of pharmaceutical-grade pseudoephedrine before eventually becoming inactive and delisted from public exchanges.
