Endeavor Health, formerly known as NorthShore University HealthSystem, is a leading integrated healthcare delivery system serving the Chicago metropolitan area. The organization is recognized for its leadership in clinical research and personalized medicine, particularly through its extensive use of genomic data in routine patient care. Operating as a non-profit entity, it manages a network of nine hospitals and over 300 ambulatory locations, making it one of the largest health systems in Illinois. The Endeavor Health Research Institute facilitates hundreds of clinical trials annually, focusing on oncology, cardiovascular disease, and neurological disorders. In 2022, the system significantly expanded through a merger with Edward-Elmhurst Health, eventually rebranding to its current name in late 2023.
