NorthX Biologics AB operates as an advanced biopharmaceutical CDMO with over three decades of GMP experience. Recognized by the Swedish government as a national competence center for advanced biologics and gene therapies in 2021, it offers end-to-end process development and manufacturing services across plasmids, mRNA, proteins, viral vectors/AAVs, cell therapies and more. The company has expanded its capabilities through acquisition—including a Stockholm-based viral vector facility—and recently launched proprietary AAV plasmids to streamline gene therapy production. It partners globally with biotech/pharma companies to enable clinical trial material supply through to commercial launch. Recent partnerships include Amarna Therapeutics for Nimvec™ AM510 gene therapy CMC/manufacturing support, Abera Bioscience for vaccine candidate upscaling, Mendus in immunotherapy, among others. In May 2025 they secured significant growth investment from Signet Healthcare Partners to accelerate expansion. The company does not have its own drug pipeline but enables pipelines of client companies. Key people include CEO Dr Janet Hoogstraate. Headquarters are in Matfors with additional facilities near Stockholm/Karolinska Institute. Flerie remains majority shareholder post-investment; Signet Healthcare Partners joined as major investor/board member in May 2025. Estimated staff size exceeds 100 employees.
