Norton Sound Health Corporation

Norton Sound Health Corporation is a tribally owned and operated, independent nonprofit healthcare organization serving the Bering Strait region of northwestern Alaska. Founded in 1970, it provides hospital-based, outpatient, village-clinic, behavioral health, dental, pharmacy, maternal-child, rehabilitation, and public health services for the Inupiat, Siberian Yup’ik, and Yup’ik communities in the region. NSHC operates Norton Sound Regional Hospital in Nome, an 18-bed critical access hospital, and manages 15 village clinics across the region. The organization is not a drug-development biotech or pharma company; it is a community-based healthcare delivery system focused on direct patient care, wellness, and tribal self-governance.
