Norwegian Pharmacy Association

The Norwegian Pharmacy Association, known as Apotekforeningen, is the trade organization representing pharmacies in Norway. Its membership includes nearly all of the country's pharmacies, including major retail chains like Apotek 1, Vitusapotek, and Boots Apotek, as well as hospital pharmacies. The association advocates for the industry's interests and works to ensure stable framework conditions and high professional standards. A core responsibility is the development and management of shared digital infrastructure, such as the systems supporting electronic prescriptions. It also serves as a central source for pharmacy-related statistics and maintains a continuous dialogue with Norwegian health authorities.
