NovaDigm Therapeutics was a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing immunotherapies and vaccines for fungal and bacterial infections. The company's primary innovation was a cross-kingdom vaccine platform designed to target pathogens that share common infection mechanisms across different biological kingdoms. Its lead candidate, NDV-3A, was a recombinant protein vaccine targeting the Als3 surface protein, which is found on both Candida and Staphylococcus aureus. NDV-3A successfully completed Phase 2 clinical trials for recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis (RVVC), demonstrating a significant reduction in the frequency of infections. Although the company is no longer active, its research significantly advanced the field of antifungal vaccine development and multi-pathogen immunization strategies.
