NovaTract Surgical was a venture-backed U.S. medical device company focused on tools for minimally invasive surgery. The company developed laparoscopic retraction devices intended to improve visualization, reduce the number of trocar ports and incisions, and support reduced-port surgical techniques. Its flagship product was the NovaTract laparoscopic dynamic retractor, and published product descriptions also reference the NovaGrasp laparoscopic tethered grasper. NovaTract was founded in 2010 based on technology conceived by Yale surgeon Kurt E. Roberts and was led by co-founder and CEO Eleanor L. Tandler. The company is now closed and its website is no longer operating as an active company site.
