Company intelligence / Profile preview
Novogyne Pharmaceuticals was a specialty pharmaceutical joint venture between Noven Pharmaceuticals and Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation, focused on women's health. Established in 1998 and operating as Vivelle Ventures LLC, the company marketed and sold advanced transdermal hormone replacement therapies in the United States. Its product portfolio featured leading brands such as Vivelle-Dot (estradiol) and CombiPatch (estradiol/norethindrone acetate), which utilized Noven's proprietary DOT Matrix technology for efficient drug delivery. The joint venture was a significant player in the menopause treatment market until its dissolution in August 2014. Following the dissolution, ownership of the products was divided between the parent companies, with Novartis retaining Vivelle-Dot and Noven assuming control of CombiPatch. Today, the legacy of Novogyne's products continues under its former parent companies, with Noven serving as the U.S. prescription platform for Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical.
