- Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease
Company intelligence / Profile preview
NSC Therapeutics is developing NSC001, a selective orthosteric M1 muscarinic agonist for neurodegenerative diseases. The compound has completed four phase 1 studies demonstrating safety and tolerability, and is entering a two-part phase 2a clinical trial in patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease. Preclinical data suggest potential disease-modifying effects on cognition and key pathological markers (Abeta, tau, alpha-synuclein), as well as modulation of neuroinflammation via TREM2[1][2][3].
