NTT Research

NTT Research is a Silicon Valley-based research company and a division of NTT focused on long-horizon basic and applied research across physics, cryptography, photonics, neuroscience, and medical and health informatics. The company was launched in 2019 to globalize NTT’s R&D efforts and operates from Sunnyvale, California. Its healthcare-relevant work is concentrated in the Medical & Health Informatics Lab, which is developing Bio Digital Twin technologies, including cardiovascular and heart-on-a-chip digital twin models aimed at more personalized, predictive, and preventive medicine. NTT Research is not a drug developer or commercial biopharma company; rather, it is a technology and research organization whose health-related programs center on computational modeling, biosensing, and digital health infrastructure. The company is increasingly emphasizing commercialization of selected research outputs under what it calls “NTT Research 2.0.”
