Nuclear Consultants, Inc. was a pioneering American company in the field of nuclear medicine and radiopharmaceuticals. Founded in the early 1950s by Dr. Wilfred Konneker, it was one of the first commercial entities to process and distribute radioactive isotopes for medical diagnostic and therapeutic use. The company provided essential materials such as Iodine-131 and Gold-198 to hospitals, facilitating the growth of nuclear medicine departments across the United States. In 1966, the company was acquired by Mallinckrodt Chemical Works, serving as the foundation for Mallinckrodt's significant nuclear medicine business unit.
