Numerex Corp. was a leading provider of managed Internet of Things (IoT) and machine-to-machine (M2M) solutions, with a significant presence in the healthcare sector through its Numerex Health division. The company specialized in remote patient monitoring (RPM), telehealth, and personal emergency response systems (PERS), providing integrated solutions that combined hardware, network connectivity, and cloud-based software. Its core platform, Numerex DNA, enabled healthcare providers to monitor patients with chronic conditions in real-time, improving care coordination and reducing hospital readmissions. Numerex was a publicly traded company until its acquisition by Sierra Wireless in 2017 for approximately $107 million.
