Nutera

Nutera is a pioneering Brazilian biotechnology company and the first advanced cell therapy manufacturing facility in Latin America, based in Ribeirão Preto. Established in 2022 through a strategic partnership between the University of São Paulo (USP), the Butantan Institute, and the Hemocentro de Ribeirão Preto, Nutera focuses on the development and large-scale production of CAR-T cell immunotherapies. The company's primary mission is to provide affordable, high-quality cancer treatments for the Brazilian public health system (SUS), specifically targeting B-cell malignancies. Nutera maintains end-to-end manufacturing capabilities, including the production of proprietary lentiviral vectors and plasmid DNA, which significantly reduces the cost and complexity of delivering these advanced therapies.
