Nutritional Restart Pharmaceutical was a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of nutritional therapeutics for rare gastrointestinal disorders. The company's lead product, NutreStore (L-glutamine powder for oral solution), received FDA approval in 2004 for the treatment of Short Bowel Syndrome (SBS) in patients receiving specialized nutritional support. NutreStore is used as a co-therapy with recombinant human growth hormone to reduce parenteral nutrition requirements and enhance intestinal absorption. The company's assets and the rights to NutreStore were eventually acquired by Emmaus Medical (now Emmaus Life Sciences), which continues to market the product alongside its other L-glutamine-based treatments.
