NUWAY Alliance

NUWAY Alliance is a Minnesota-based nonprofit behavioral healthcare organization that provides addiction treatment, co-occurring mental health services, and recovery-supportive housing. Formed in October 2019, it serves as an umbrella management and operating organization for NUWAY, Cochran Recovery Services, The Gables, Arrigoni Housing Support, the NUWAY Mental Health Clinic, and the NUWAY Recovery Foundation. The organization offers residential treatment, mental health clinic services, and housing support for adults, with programs described as evidence-based, trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ safe and friendly, and medication-assisted treatment/recovery friendly. NUWAY Alliance operates primarily in Minnesota, including the Twin Cities and Rochester, and focuses on improving access to recovery services rather than developing therapeutic drugs or biologic products. In 2025, the organization agreed to an $18.5 million settlement with federal and state authorities to resolve Medicaid fraud allegations related to kickbacks and double billing.
