NV-LATAM

NeuroVive Latin America (NV-LATAM) was a subsidiary of the Swedish biotechnology company NeuroVive Pharmaceutical AB (now Abliva AB). Established in 2015 and based in Florianópolis, Brazil, the company was created to manage the clinical development and commercialization of mitochondrial medicine candidates in the Latin American market. Its primary focus was on advancing two lead candidates: CicloMulsion, a treatment for reperfusion injury during myocardial infarction, and NeuroSTAT, a therapy for traumatic brain injury. NV-LATAM was responsible for conducting regional clinical trials and securing regulatory approvals across South and Central America. The company's operations were closely tied to the parent company's cyclosporine-based technology platform targeting the mitochondrial permeability transition pore. Following the rebranding of NeuroVive to Abliva and a strategic shift toward rare mitochondrial diseases, the development of the NV-LATAM assets was deprioritized.
