NYCIG

New York Care Information Gateway (NYCIG) was a regional health information organization (RHIO) that facilitated the secure exchange of electronic health records across New York City and Long Island. Operating as a non-profit, it connected hundreds of healthcare facilities, including hospitals, long-term care centers, and physician practices, to provide real-time access to clinical data for over 6.5 million patients. NYCIG was a key participant in the Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY), focusing on improving patient outcomes through enhanced care coordination and data interoperability. In March 2020, the organization merged with Healthix to form the largest public health information exchange in the United States.
