- Age-related macular degeneration, Geographic atrophy
Company intelligence / Profile preview
The OPTiC System™ pilot clinical trial demonstrated procedural feasibility of ophthalmic artery angioplasty for treating vascular lesions in geographic atrophy due to AMD. The study showed a positive safety profile with all adverse events resolving without sequelae. Subjective improvements were seen in visual function measures such as Best-Correlatred Visual Acuity and reading speed, while objective evidence included growth inhibition of geographic atrophy and increased choroidal thickness. These results support further pivotal trials and regulatory submissions.
