Ocular Partners

Ocular Partners was a private, physician-led ophthalmology services platform formed in 2020 through the combination of Chicago Eye Institute and Arbor Centers for EyeCare in the greater Chicago market. The company provided comprehensive eye-care services and practice-management support across specialties including cataract, cornea, refractive surgery, glaucoma, retina, oculoplastics, comprehensive ophthalmology, and optometry. Rather than developing drugs, Ocular Partners operated a clinically and surgically focused provider network serving patients through multiple Chicago-area locations. The platform was backed by MoonSail Capital and Plenary Partners and expanded through affiliations with additional local ophthalmology practices. In 2022, Arbor Centers for EyeCare and Chicago Eye Institute, the core Ocular practices, became part of EyeSouth Partners, indicating that Ocular as a standalone platform was effectively absorbed.
