Okairos was a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company specializing in the development of innovative T-cell based vaccines for major infectious diseases and cancer. The company's core technology utilized a proprietary platform of potent chimpanzee adenoviral (ChAd) vectors designed to stimulate robust immune responses. Their pipeline included candidates for Hepatitis C, malaria, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and influenza. In 2013, Okairos was acquired by GSK for approximately $325 million (€250 million), integrating its viral vector technology into GSK's vaccine division.
