Momotaro-Gene is a clinical-stage biotechnology company based in Okayama, Japan, specializing in the development of innovative cancer gene therapies. The company's core technology is based on the REIC/Dkk-3 (Reduced Expression in Immortalized Cells/Dickkopf-3) gene, which acts as a tumor suppressor. Their lead candidate, Ad-REIC (an adenoviral vector carrying the REIC/Dkk-3 gene), is designed to selectively induce apoptosis in cancer cells while activating the host's anti-tumor immune response.
