Omega Acquisition

Omega Alpha Acquisition Corp. was a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) or "blank check" company formed for the purpose of effecting a merger, share exchange, asset acquisition, or similar business combination with one or more businesses. Sponsored by Omega Fund Management, the company specifically targeted the healthcare and biotechnology sectors, seeking to leverage the expertise of its management team in identifying high-growth life science opportunities. The company raised $138 million in its initial public offering in January 2021. However, after failing to complete a business combination within its allotted timeframe, the company liquidated and redeemed its shares in early 2023.
