Established in 2020, it stands as the largest dedicated biotech impact investment fund, focusing on the creation and financing of companies that develop breakthrough treatments for cancer and other life-threatening diseases. The fund allocates approximately 80% of its capital to private startups and 20% to public equities, prioritizing innovative modalities such as cell, gene, and circular RNA therapies. OIF 2 is distinguished by its philanthropic component, which directs a portion of performance fees and drug royalties to the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and the UBS Optimus Foundation to support early-stage research and improve cancer care access in developing nations.
