OneDisc is a biotechnology company specializing in centrifugal microfluidic technology, often referred to as "Lab-on-a-Disc," for point-of-care diagnostics and liquid biopsy. Spun out of the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), the company's platform automates complex laboratory procedures—such as sample preparation, enrichment, and molecular analysis—onto a single disposable disc. OneDisc's primary focus is the rapid and high-purity isolation of extracellular vesicles (exosomes) and circulating tumor cells from clinical samples like whole blood. Their technology is designed to provide faster, more cost-effective, and highly sensitive diagnostic solutions for oncology, sepsis, and infectious diseases. By streamlining the transition from sample to result, OneDisc aims to enhance the accessibility of precision medicine and non-invasive monitoring.
