Operation Eyesight Universal

Operation Eyesight Universal is a Canada-based nonprofit international development organization focused on preventing blindness, restoring sight and strengthening sustainable eye health systems in underserved communities. Rather than operating as a drug-development biotech or pharma company, it works with local hospitals, health workers and governments to deliver screenings, referrals, surgeries, vision centres, child eye health programs, disease-control efforts and advocacy. The organization emphasizes community-based eye health, integration of eye care into primary health care and long-term health-system capacity building. Its geographic focus is primarily South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa, with fundraising and headquarters functions in Canada.
