Optotek is a Slovenian ophthalmic medical device company that develops and manufactures optical and laser systems for eye care, particularly YAG and SLT laser platforms and articulated-arm delivery systems. The company focuses on commercial-stage devices used in glaucoma and anterior segment ophthalmology, including selective laser trabeculoplasty, capsulotomy, and iridotomy applications. Optotek also has OEM capabilities and long-standing development and supply relationships within the ophthalmic laser market. Founded in 1990, the company was acquired in 2019 by Quantel Medical and now operates within the Lumibird Medical portfolio while continuing to market the Optotek Medical brand.
