Company intelligence / Profile preview
Orange County Physicians Investment Network (OC-PIN) was a physician-led investment group based in Orange County, California. The network was established in 2004 to provide local medical professionals with a vehicle to invest in and influence the management of regional healthcare infrastructure. Its primary activity was a significant investment in Integrated Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (IHHI), which facilitated the acquisition of four hospitals from the Tenet Health System in 2005. Led by cardiologist Dr. Anil Shah, OC-PIN played a crucial role in ensuring these facilities remained operational and under local physician influence during a period of financial transition. The group maintained its ownership stake until 2014, when it sold its interests to KPC Healthcare.
