Orbus Pharma Inc. is a Canadian pharmaceutical company that historically specialized in the development and contract manufacturing of generic oral-dose medications. Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, the company previously operated significant manufacturing and R&D facilities in Markham and Cambridge, Ontario, producing a range of products including cephalosporin antibiotics, cardiovascular treatments, and gastrointestinal agents. In 2010, the company underwent a court-approved restructuring under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, during which it sold key product rights to Intas Pharmaceuticals and JAMP Pharma. While the company successfully revoked its cease trade orders in 2017 and remains a reporting issuer in Canada, its primary business operations have been largely inactive as it explores potential asset acquisitions or new business ventures.
