The STELLAR study in patients with grade 3 astrocytoma completed in 2024. The primary efficacy endpoint of overall survival was not statistically significant, however, a clinically meaningful improvement in OS and PFS was seen in a defined subgroup of patients with grade 3 astrocytoma. The combination of eflornithine and lomustine demonstrated clinically meaningful improvements in overall survival and progression-free survival in patients with recurrent astrocytoma, IDH mutant grade 3.[6][7]
