Company intelligence / Profile preview
OrNda HealthCorp was a prominent American hospital management company that operated a nationwide network of acute care hospitals and outpatient surgery centers. Formed through the merger of Republic Health Corporation and several other entities in the early 1990s, it grew to become the third-largest investor-owned hospital chain in the United States. The company focused on providing comprehensive healthcare services, including emergency care, surgical services, and specialized medical treatments across various facilities. In 1997, OrNda was acquired by Tenet Healthcare Corporation in a multi-billion dollar transaction, significantly expanding Tenet's footprint in the healthcare delivery market.
