Orquest

Orquest was a biotechnology company specializing in the development of bioactive materials for orthopedic and spine surgery. The company's primary focus was on bone growth and soft tissue repair, most notably through its proprietary Healos bone graft substitute technology. Healos is a collagen-hydroxyapatite matrix designed to mimic the structure of natural bone and serve as a scaffold for new bone formation. Following its acquisition by DePuy Synthes (a Johnson & Johnson company) in 2003, Orquest's technologies were integrated into the DePuy spine and orthopedic portfolios. The company's products were designed to be used alone or in combination with bone morphogenetic proteins to accelerate healing in complex fractures and spinal fusions.
