Company intelligence / Profile preview
Orthomet was a U.S.-based orthopedic medical device company that designed, manufactured, and marketed reconstructive orthopedic implants and related surgical products. Its portfolio included hip and knee implant systems as well as hand and upper-extremity products, with FDA-cleared devices marketed under brands such as Perfecta, Axiom, and Orthomet-branded implant components. The company operated out of Minneapolis, Minnesota and sold products across the United States. Orthomet was acquired by Wright Medical Technology in 1994 and is no longer an independent active company. Through subsequent industry consolidation, the legacy business ultimately became part of Stryker via Stryker's acquisition of Wright Medical in 2020.
