Osteo-Pharma is a Dutch life sciences company specializing in the development of local drug-device combination therapies for bone healing and regeneration. The company's proprietary OsteoActivator platform utilizes a combination of an androgen receptor agonist (testosterone) and a bisphosphonate (alendronate) to simultaneously stimulate bone formation and inhibit bone resorption. Its product pipeline includes drug-eluting collagen membranes for dental and orthopedic applications, injectable microspheres for osteoarthritis, and coatings for implants to improve osseointegration. The lead product, OsteoActivator-P, is currently in Phase 2 clinical trials for accelerated alveolar ridge preservation in dental patients. Through its joint venture Bone-Tech, the company is also developing disease-modifying treatments for osteoarthritis of the knee using microfluidic-produced microspheres.
