Company intelligence / Profile preview
Osteoimplant Technologies, Inc. (OTI) was a medical device company headquartered in Hunt Valley, Maryland, that specialized in the design, development, and manufacture of orthopedic and spinal implants. Founded in 1991, the company developed a comprehensive portfolio of reconstructive joint replacements, including hip, knee, and shoulder systems, as well as trauma devices and spinal instrumentation. OTI's business model focused on providing high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective medical devices to improve patient outcomes in orthopedic surgery. In February 2005, the company was acquired by Encore Medical Corporation for approximately $15.7 million, and its operations were integrated into Encore's Surgical Implant Division. Through subsequent corporate mergers, OTI's technology and product lines eventually became part of DJO Global (now Enovis).
