Overview
OTOV-101, designed for DFNB9 deafness, began IIT clinical trial in June 2023 with exceptional clinical efficacy. Patients with congenital deafness experienced hearing restoration post-treatment. Clinical data published in Advanced Science in January 2024, marking the world's first formal report on clinical application of gene therapy for deafness. Over 10 patients have been successfully treated, with the longest follow-up exceeding 1.5 years.
